Cody Beard is a trumpet artist and educator based in Upstate South Carolina, specializing in orchestral, chamber, and early music performance.

Currently serving as Third Trumpet with the Aiken Symphony Orchestra, Cody has also performed with notable orchestras such as the Spartanburg Philharmonic, Greenville Symphony, and Charleston Symphony Orchestras. His collaborations extend beyond orchestral settings, performing with groups such as Mannheim Steamroller and Celtic Woman.

Distinguished as an emerging figure in the early music domain, Cody has garnered acclaim for his expertise as a baroque trumpeter collaborating with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, SC Bach, Durham Choral Society and Choral Arts Society Davidson on monumental works such as J.S. Bach’s Magnificat and Mass in B Minor, Orchestral Suite 3 as well as Handel’s Messiah and more. Cody was a featured soloist with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, performing Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Trumpets. As a fervent advocate for period performance and pedagogy, Cody actively champions the preservation and exploration of historical brass instruments and techniques by giving masterclasses, lectures and recitals on period instruments.

As an educator, Cody serves as Lead Trumpet Instructor with Trumpet Mastery, a globally recognized online platform catering to students of all proficiency levels, from novice enthusiasts to seasoned professionals seeking refinement in their craft.

Cody earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Lander University and continued his musical education through supplementary studies at the University of Georgia and the University of Idaho. Under the tutelage of mentors including Reed Gallo, Philip Smith, Vern Sielert, and Wolfgang Navratil of the Mozarteum Orchestra, Salzburg Austria.
